Inquiry into drone delivery systems in the ACT

Written submissions should be lodged by close of business on Friday, 22 February 2019.

The ACT Legislative Assembly is conducting an inquiry into “drone delivery systems in the ACT” inquire-into-drone-delivery-systems-in-the-act.  You may be aware that a trial has been underway in Bonython for several months.  The same company running the Bonython trial is planning to start an operation in Mitchell to provide deliveries to several suburbs in Gungahlin by mid 2019. Perhaps this could be expanded to cover north Canberra suburbs in future years?

Subject to time and resources, the HCA Committee is considering providing a submission to the inquiry on behalf of Hackett residents.  If you would like to provide comments (for or against these drone systems) please send your comments to Chris Mobbs, Chair, HCA mobbs1@grapevine.net.au by 18 February.  Alternatively you may wish to provide your comments directly to the inquiry – see the above website for more details. href=”
